Leave Regret Behind and Return to Jesus

God has always been reaching for the human heart. That is why His Word speaks so deeply to our nature, our choices, our failures, and our need for change. The Bible teaches us to repent, forgive, walk in obedience, live blessed, and become equipped for His purpose because how we live before Him truly matters.

But even while God cares about us, the center of the message is still Jesus. He is the Savior, the Restorer, and the One who calls us back when regret tries to pull us away. Before we can leave regret behind, we have to remember this truth: He is at the center, and His grace is what brings us home.

Leave Regret Behind

Sometimes we have to leave it all behind. We have all done things we wish we had not done. We may carry regret, shame, or the memory of failure. But in Jesus’ name, we have to move forward. We have to let it go and come back into His presence, back into His power, back into the supernatural life He designed us to live.

Regret has a way of pulling us back into remembrance. It reminds us of what we did wrong and tries to convince us that we are cast out. When we feel rejected, when we know we denied something true, or when we believe we have lost everything, regret can make us feel like there is no way back.

Peter Denied, But Peter Returned

Peter was chosen. Peter had his name changed. Peter carried responsibility in the Kingdom. Jesus spoke purpose over his life and said He would build His church upon the revelation Peter carried. Peter was the man, but he still denied Jesus.

That is why we must not let failure have the final word. Do not be like Judas and let regret destroy you. Let regret become the place where you turn back to Jesus. Say it out loud if you need to: “I leave my regrets behind. I made mistakes, but I am coming back to Jesus.”

Come Back Where You Belong

Sometimes we have to be reminded of our love for Him. Sometimes God brings us back to that simple place where we say, “Yes, Lord Jesus. Yes, I love You. I am willing to do what it takes to come back to You.”

Peter had to come back where he belonged because, for a moment, he left that place. He had walked with Jesus. He had received the Kingdom. People recognized him because of the association and lifestyle he carried. They could see that he had been with Jesus.

That is what happens when you spend time with Jesus. It shows up. It shows off. People begin to recognize that something about you is different because His presence marks your life.

The Call Today

Today is the day to leave regret behind. Let go of the denials. Let go of the mistakes. Let go of the shame that says you cannot return. Come back into His love. Come back into His presence. Come back into the place where you belong.

Jesus is still the center. His love is still calling. His grace is still restoring. Leave it behind, move forward, and come back to Him in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
