Let His Light Shine Through You

When you do something in the name of Jesus, it becomes more than human effort—it becomes a supernatural ability through Christ Jesus.

Maybe some of you struggle to believe that. Maybe you're thinking, "That can't be true." But the reality is this: when you choose Jesus, you step beyond the limitations of ordinary human strength. Through Him, you are empowered to live beyond what seems possible. You have the ability to walk in the impossible because Christ lives in you.

Without Christ, people live in darkness. They have no purpose, no hope, and often feel like they have nothing left to give. Perhaps some of you reading this feel that way today. Maybe you're saying, "I have nothing to offer. I don't even know who I am."

Over more than thirty years of ministry, inner healing, and deliverance, I have met countless people who believed they had no purpose. The truth is, they did have purpose—it had simply been buried beneath layers of pain, lies, disappointment, and darkness. Their treasure was still there; it just needed to be uncovered.

Jesus spoke about finding treasure hidden in a field. Sometimes that's exactly what our lives are like. We have to dig through the dirt to discover the priceless treasure God has placed within us.

Are you willing to sell everything to discover your purpose? Are you willing to lay aside everything that keeps you from seeing Jesus clearly? Are you willing to surrender whatever stands in the way so His light can fill your life?

I can tell you this with confidence: every person who sits down with me has purpose. Together, we discover it. It has never been absent—it has only been hidden.

When someone discovers that treasure in the field, everything else suddenly loses its grip. Letting go becomes easier because they've found something infinitely more valuable. When your purpose is revealed and your destiny begins to unfold, something awakens inside of you. It becomes so precious that you're willing to do whatever it takes to protect it and pursue it.

Once you discover the gold God has placed within you, you'll fight for your health. You'll fight for your freedom. You'll fight for your relationship with God. You'll refuse to let anything steal the calling He has placed on your life.

There comes a moment when the darkness must be expelled so you can clearly see what God is doing. We need to remove the distractions, the lies, and the nonsense that cloud our vision so we can recognize His work in us.

Paul prayed this very thing:

"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling..." (Ephesians 1:18, NKJV)

You cannot fully know your calling unless your eyes are enlightened. Without His light, your purpose remains hidden.

Over the years—more than thirty years in inner healing and deliverance ministry and over twenty years in full-time ministry—I have watched this happen again and again. As God's light shines into people's hearts, purpose comes alive.

So let Him shine on you so brightly that people see Jesus wherever you go. Let His presence become the first thing people notice about your life.

Think about walking into a dark room. At first, you can't see anything. Turn on a small light, and you begin to see a little. Increase the light, and suddenly everything becomes visible. Yet if the light becomes overwhelmingly bright, it can blind you again.

There is wisdom in how we shine.

Some of us become so passionate that we end up spotlighting people instead of shining for them. God has not called us to blind others with harshness or intensity. He has called us to shine like a candle—bringing comfort, hope, warmth, and light into dark places.

You have the ability to let His light shine through you. You can allow His love and grace to flow freely, or you can choose to hold it back. You can choose offense, selfishness, and bitterness, or you can choose generosity, compassion, and mercy. You can choose to say, "Here—you can have it anyway."

That is the life Christ has called us to live.

This is a season of fulfillment. This is a season of Kingdom blessing. Let His light shine through you so that others discover hope, purpose, and the treasure God has hidden within them.
