Do Not Be Ashamed of the Gospel

Do not be ashamed of the Gospel, because when you preach the Gospel, you represent the Kingdom of God. And wherever the Kingdom is represented, healing comes. Sicknesses are healed. Diseases disappear. Lives are transformed. I may not understand exactly how it all happens, but I know it is God's promise.

Sometimes we put God in a box. We think healing has to happen a certain way, and if it doesn't happen according to our expectations, then we conclude that God did not move. But God cannot be confined to our limited understanding.

In many cases, God uses people to bring healing. Someone may pray for you. A doctor may come alongside you. A friend may encourage you. Often, God works through people because Jesus is the Head, and we are His body. Christ was sent by the Father, and now we are sent as representatives of Christ in the earth. We are the Body of Christ.

So get out of the valley and stop being ashamed of your calling. Stop being ashamed of the way God designed you. You may say, "I tried, and it didn't work." That is often why valleys exist. If you are willing to learn, God will teach you. Valleys are not always there to destroy you. Sometimes they are there to equip you. They are places where battles are won, character is formed, and faith is strengthened.

When you come through those battles, God reveals a clearer design. He may not give you a new calling, but He often gives you a new way to approach the calling He has already given you. He teaches you how to walk it out more effectively.

We walk in the fulfillment of God's promises when we choose to live in the resources He has given us, and the greatest resource He has given us is the Gospel.

The Gospel is both the beginning and the ongoing life of the believer. It is the living Word in action. It is the Word of God being demonstrated through our lives. When you are not ashamed of the Gospel, God empowers you to act upon His Word. His anointing flows. His healing flows. His power is revealed.

Psalm 107:20 declares:

"He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

God sends forth His Word. He sends forth His promises. He sends forth His truth. And through that Word, He heals, restores, rescues, and delivers. As we learn to walk in the Gospel, we begin to understand more and more of what God has made available to us.

So let us not be ashamed of the Gospel. When you are not ashamed of the Gospel, you position yourself to walk in the power of the Gospel. There is power in embracing what God has given us. There is power in standing unashamed before the world.

All of us wrestle with this at times. We hear criticism. We encounter skeptics. We face naysayers. We hear countless opinions and arguments. Yet the answer is not to shrink back. The answer is to remain unashamed.

The power of salvation is revealed through the good news of the Kingdom of God being demonstrated on earth as it is in heaven.

How many of us have felt anxious about our calling? How many have looked at someone else's journey and become discouraged because our calling looks different?

Your revelation may not sound exactly like mine. Mine may not sound exactly like yours. Yet if we sat down and communicated openly, we would often discover that we are saying much of the same thing.

Sometimes we fail to share what God has shown us because we are afraid. Sometimes we remain silent because we are ashamed. Today, remove that word from your vocabulary. Do not be ashamed.

Romans 1:16 says:

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

The Gospel is the doorway. I once had a conversation with someone who said, "There are many gods." I replied, "There is only one God who has provided a doorway."

That doorway is Jesus Christ. Through Jesus, we have access to the Father. Through Jesus, we enter into the Father's love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Through Jesus, we come boldly before our heavenly Father.

We have a doorway, and His name is Jesus. Through the power of His blood, we have access to everything the Father has made available to His children. We have that power. We have that access. We have that doorway living within us through Christ. And that is something we must never forget.

Do not be ashamed of the Gospel.

Walk in it. Proclaim it. Live it.

For it is the power of God unto salvation.
