A Dream of Restoration: Rebuilding the Foundation for Growth
I want to share a dream I had while in Dryden—one that I believe carries a powerful message for all of us. It has stayed with me, and I feel led to share its meaning as we continue on this journey together.
The Vision of the House
In my dream, I found myself in a magnificent three-story mansion. It was full of people, buzzing with excitement. The main floor was well-lived in—beautiful, structured, and full of activity. But when I inquired about the upper level, I was told there were nine rooms that no one dared to enter yet.
My curiosity drove me to explore further. I then noticed the lower level, which was in complete disarray. It wasn't necessarily a basement, as there was light coming in, possibly through bi-level windows. Despite the mess, I could see the potential within it—everything needed for function was already there, just out of place. The kitchen, beds, and couches were all scattered. It had not been used for years.
Seeking Freedom and Order
As I sought understanding in my dream, a familiar figure appeared—someone we minister with. I asked him, "Who do we talk to in order to restore this place?" His response was unexpected: "You talk to Frida."
The name Frida struck me as unusual, yet when I looked up its meaning, I discovered it represents peace, tranquility, strength, and wise counsel. That was a profound revelation!
The dream, I believe, represents the church’s foundation—the groundwork that must be set in place before we can move into the fullness of our calling. The nine rooms upstairs, which were not yet in use, symbolize the fruit of the Spirit and spiritual gifts. These two dimensions must work together in harmony. Before we walk in the full power of the Holy Spirit, we must first be deeply rooted in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Restoring the Foundation of the Church
This dream speaks to what we are doing right now—both in Canada and beyond. We are rebuilding the foundation, putting structure back into place, and preparing for what’s to come. Right now, we are walking in freedom, seeking peace, and applying wise counsel to our decisions.
There is peace in structure. There is freedom in order. Many don’t realize how much liberty comes from aligning with God’s blueprint. When we say “yes” to His plan, we step into a greater measure of peace and power.
A Call to Action: Bringing Order to the Church
I believe this dream is a call for us all to take part in setting things in order. The resources are already available; everything we need is present—we simply need to organize and position them correctly. Over time, churches have drifted into disorder, but now is the time to restore the foundation.
This is what we are doing, not just in our local ministry but also in Pakistan, Dryden, and beyond. We are actively building foundations in these regions, equipping people, and establishing strong spiritual structures. And if we all say "yes" to this calling, we will enter into those nine rooms sooner than we think!
The church is not lacking—it is simply in need of alignment. And when we embrace the order God is calling us to, we will experience the fullness of His Spirit and the power of His gifts like never before.
